I was addicted to D2 for the longest time that I still keep some of my accounts alive just cause they have sentimental value to me

Yeah online was what made d2 so great, nothing like killing a lvl 80 with my lvl 18 lld ahh the memories
But apparently you won't be able to do that anymore since they changed the attribute system

Can't wait for it, I was hooked on diablo II for the longest time. I still pick it up every now and then to level a char to 99 for fun.

Definitely! Has anyone played Path of Exile? It's very similar to Diablo II, and it's currently in beta.

what do you actually do in diablo, and is it a one time fee or recurring fee? i am tempted to try and get diablo III since they have the real money auction house, and i might try to make some money if it's good :)

It's a one time fee, they're mostly making money off of the auction house system or so I hear. I played the D3 beta, it's pretty sick. I was a massive fangirl for D2...well, it was really the first computer game I played, but I played it for yearsss (on and off). I still have it installed.

I'll probably buy D3 the day it comes out...and then hermit myself in my room for a week.

And will it be online? Like you can get with a couple friends and go grinding, etc.

It'll have online play, probably similar to D2 (up to a certain number of players in one version of the world at a time). And no one really knows when it'll be released... a lot of insiders have hinted to this summer as being important, but I really really doubt it'll be out that soon. It'd be awesome if it were though /drool

Soon? That's no where near soon. :P It's been in the making for such a long time, and the beta has been out pretty long now.

It's soon for blizzard haha. That's exactly what I mean...it takes them foreverrr to put out a new game, and they're still releasing beta keys...and the beta is still pretty buggy. So there's still a lot of work to do.

I think it was somewhere between 12-22 march, dont remember exactly.


And yes, it will be online.

But I think the most players per game is 4-6, dont remember... This is to evade lag and such.

Also there will be new modes, duel mode, story mode, etc...

It comes out 5-15-12 and is going to be online. Its suppose to have a real currency market place where you can sell your rare finds for cash. I cant wait!
