[3DS] Pokemon X/Y

I didn't see a topic for this already, so I'm gonna put my nerd hat on here and as if anyone else is waiting on Pokemon X/Y to come out?
Thoughts on the starters/which one are you going to pick? :o_o:

I'm tempted to wait a few days to get it 'cause I tend to make my decision off the version exclusives but I want it like now. xD

I was kinda hoping they'd come out with a bundle pack like they did for Fire Emblem, with a game/DS/book, but whenever I ask about it at the local Gamestop I get a big ol' nope. :( I'm still debating who to choose as my starter 'cause I want to get the free Charmander (MegaCharizard ftw!) and Torchic and don't want all 3 fire pokemon. xD But Fennekin seems pretty neat, I'll be stoked if they do dual types of Fighting/Dark/Psychic so that it balances out the Grass/Water/Fire parts.

Yeah! Apparently later in the game you get to pick one of the Kanto starters. Plus there's the wifi Torchic. :D

Still torn about which starter to pick. I like grass type pokemons. But Fennekin is so cute. May still go for Chespin in the end though :P Maybe Fennekin for second playthrough.

Among the five generations, B/W was the biggest disappointment for me.
I do have high hopes for this next game. The changes they made are all so amazing :)

Pokemon X is absolutely amazing, seriously. You now get to buy clothes, decide how you look like, and the combats are a lot more fun to look at. Kinda looks like Pokemon Stadium. Also, the graphics are simply better from far, and you get to interact more with your ''friends'' than you used to with previous versions. I just started playing it, so I don't know all the new features yet, but so far, I definitely don't regret paying for that game. :)

I got X. Tbh there was that first five minutes of awe but after that, probably because I was grinding at the beginning, it was kind of lackluster. It took me an hour and a half before I got to the first gym and even then I wasn't over leveled or anything. There are amazing additions to the game of course, and it's definitely a big leap for the pokemon games. Idk I'm just past the first gym so I'm still going to keep an open mind in regards to the actual game play. I had the 3D view on for about half an hour before it started getting annoying so I turned it off.

I do feel like the graphics and movements are superb though. (I spent a good minute fooling around with the roller blades because of how smooth the movement is and I regret nothing LOL)

I do recommend getting the game and trying it for yourself though if you can because everyone has his/her own opinion.

I bought a 3ds + Pokemon X yesterday because I wanted it so bad. I got super lucky with the 3ds too - it was repackaged, so I got it for $120 instead of $170! So basically I got the pokemon game for free.

But pokemon itself is AMAZING. Which says a lot from me because I've played nearly every game up through Pokemon White (didn't get the 2 versions), and I didn't really like Pokemon white. I adored SoulSilver - best game so far because I love the mix of all of the generations. When nearly all original 150 are in the game, I'm happy. But x and y are amazing so far! I HIGHLY recommend them!! :D :D :D there's a lot of old & new pokemon! and the graphics are amazing!

feel like it's kinda late to give my opinion on this game but I feel like I'm pretty knowledgeable about the game.. exp share makes it so much easier I was overleveled without trying for the entire game, easiest story in a long time you can finish the game in about 4 hours if you rush it

Wondertrade is really cool and helps get random japanese pokemon to masuda with if you don't want to use ditto and try to breed some egg moves onto a mon

after beating the main storyline I went back to black 2 to play for a bit and put it down after about five minutes I really can't go back to the old 2d pokemon style games after this.. it's really the best game I've played in a long time even though it's basically the same thing 5 generations after the first installments but the 3d graphics really make it feel new and being able to interact with pokemon and making breeding mechanics easier and EV training into a minigame, really pokemon x and y are 10/10 for me best games ever released on a handheld console and will be for a long time I think.. too lazy to type out an actual review of the game so if you don't have it and have ever enjoyed any pokemon games in the past go and get it!!

So how far have people gotten? I just got my 6th badge. The story is pretty easy with how EXP share works in this game. They should have kept it the way it was before but I guess the main focus of the game is slowly being drawn towards battling than the actual story itself. They want everyone to build up teams and play online, which is extremely fun as well. This game is really amazing.
