Going to make a program where you can load a list of accounts and it will tell you the value of the account, list of all items in SDB, gallery, etc.

Need to know if using JellyNeo's DB is a good idea? Are the prices accurate or no??

Post opinion as well as idea's on what to add to this program!

Jelly Neo's prices are okay for some stuff, but if you are able to use the price database its the most accurate one i've seen. also if you need any help pricing, im pretty god with most stuff

The other one is probably more accurate but JellyNeo would be the only other option. Its decently accurate but is missing a lot of prices for unbuyables.

zomg I was just about to make something like this xP
Though it would've probably just done SDB and gallery.

It's a good idea, if JN was more up to date with prices.

JN idb is ok for providing a basic overview of item value, so long as you bear in mind 3 things:
1) Most of the MPs on there are priced higher than their actual value
2) It doesn't distinguish between hts and ets
3) The super-expensive items(The likes of SuAP, MSPP etc etc) won't have price values so would need to be added separately.

That being the case though, I think it'd be a great idea, to get a rough estimate much quicker.

I would say we should make out own DB....but that would take forever. I have noticed JN's is sometimes off a few 100k or sometimes even greater values. It really just depends.

Definately a great idea, but as indigo stated, the items that aren't priced on JN should be manually priced in the program

It's the only one that we could use. I don't expect the admins of the other forum would let us ruin their bandwidth.

People monitor the things for price changes on items though..Every time I submit a price change it's never changed automatically.

The Only two I user are JN and NC.us and JN turned out to be the more accurate of the two.

If anyone would be interested in doing this. i would be very willing to help in pricing if we were to make our own more accurate db

I think its a great idea, I was looking through an account yesterday with 36,000 items and didn't want to manually do it

Maybe we should have our own then. It would be extremely simple to have a bunch of accounts running, pricing items 24/7... Hardest part is getting it all set-up, so I'm gonna look into this. For now, let's just say we will be using JellyNeo.

Wouldn't you need Neopets permission to use all their images though? Couldn't that be a huge pain in the ass?

I don't think so. If anything, the DB will simply be text only.. I mean it'll be great for me, but won't look as nice to others lol

Hmm, just thought a little more about it, and I think we can. As long as we credit them. When you write an essay, you gotta cite all the information you took from online resources, correct? So, same concept.

yeah, i think all you have to do is say images copyrighted property of viacom inc.

Oh should probably add vis a vis the JN idb- JN do seem to suffer a fair amount of downtime which would present an issue.

Infamous Joe, I can provide a Full Item Database. If needed.
