Attack on Titan

Also known as Shingeki no Kyojin (進撃の巨人), seems to be one of the very interesting and unique animes I have had the pleasure of watching.
Music wise I enjoy the opening and have the ending on my playlist.
I was wondering what everyone else's opinion on the anime was? Art? Transitions? Characters?
*ALSO* Anyone read the manga and if they had and is the anime in sync with it? Also their opinions as well.

I watch it on my laptop. Posts on Saturdays if you wished to watch it.

I won't spoil because I found out what happened because of a youtube user but all I will say is it's going to blow your mind.
She does act like her a bit though doesn't she. The whole Tumblr community keeps bringing up another manga and I'm like *shakes head* no.

He's got super-powers as do a few folks but I wonder what the hell happened to his father! It seemed he just fell off the planet...or was eaten xD

I watched all 13.5 episodes (FUCK that 13.5 no really because) in one fell swoop so when I got to it I was like "I literally just spent the past 6 hours watching all of this. I do NOT need to see it all again." xD

Then the following day I proceeded to read all the manga. :U The anime is pretty much spot on the manga, just not as far. I suggest you read the manga. IDK how you could watch the anime and then not want to read the manga to figure out what happens next. xD

I'm actually trying to cosplay a scouting legion rando for August but I'm a cheap ass well, more broke than anything, so IDK how well that's going to go. :c

The anime is good. Good Op and Ending but I believe that the manga is so much better now that I've read and watched all that's current.

I love it. The music is meh but the art, story and the characters are all outstanding. It's also refreshing to see how realistic the characters are, unlike in other shounen animes. You can pretend to be badass if you want, but if a freakin giant attacks your city you ain't gonna grab the nearest weapon and confidently run towards the giant in hope of slaying it. You're going to freak out, have a mental breakdown and run away. And there's nothing wrong with that, because all you want to do is to survive. It's human instinct.

That's true. The music isn't all that great, but it matches the scenes very well.

The only issue I have with Attack on Titan is how heavy handed the execution is. Idk if this is an issue with anime or the source material, but everyone seems to always be screaming at each other & they like to keep shoving in your face evidence on how bleak and shitty the world of Attack on Titan is. I wish they were a bit more subtle at times because if you do that 100 times, things start losing its effect on me. Now I do drinking games whenever someone dies bwahaha. That is not to say I don't feel anything for the dead ones though. Just that I KNOW they're just fodder so I'm always mentally prepared. The show can be weird too. Sometimes they take a couple of episodes to debate stuff that seems blatantly obvious and yet sometimes it's so smart xD

The action scenes though *wolf whistle* SOOOO SMOOTH.

I haven't read the manga as well but I heard it's slightly more gory. ^^

Good anime, it was (bcoz it has now finished, at least the first season) what SAO was in 2012...
