CyberLink YouCam 3 Problem

Every time I open up my YouCam, the screen is extremely dark. Adjusting the brightness and contrast helps somewhat, but the exposure is what needs to be changed and the bar to change its level is faded out. Has anyone had this problem before?

Alright first of all is this a legit version? or Pirated?

Legit, it came installed on my laptop whenever I bought it. It works normally with things like Skype but not this. And okay :P
