These are the questions i cant figure out how to do on my homework which is due before midnight :x +Rep to everyone with a correct answer! :)

2. Use the properties of inequalities to solve the inequalities. Write the solution set using set-builder notation
a. 5x + 3 < 2x + 2
b. −4(x − 5) ≥ 2x + 15

3. Solve the compound inequality. Write the solution set using set-builder notation.
a. 2x + 7 > −16 and 2x + 7 < 11
b. 0 ≤ 2x + 10 ≤ 22
c. x + 2 > 2 or x + 3 ≤ 1
d. 5x − 4 ≤ 56 or 4x − 8 ≤ 16

5. Use interval notation to express the solution set of the inequality.
a. |2−5x| ≥ 17
b. |2x − 6| ≥ 2
c. | 2x − 3| < 1

1.

x = 29/22 + 1/22sqrt{1271} i

That's all I've got. xD

kooldude888,

#4 is (-7, 3) I believe. Because it can go all the way down to -7 without touching it, and all the way up to 3 without touching it. Open circles on both if you were doing it on a number line. I'll keep thinking about #1-3 :)

1. x= (29+isqrt(1271)/22), (29-isqrt(1271)/22)

Will add stuff as I keep on working
Also I haven't used set builder notation in forever
2)a) {x:x<-1/3}
b) {x:x<5/6}
3)a){x:-23/2<x<2}
b) {x:-5≤x≤6}
c) {x: x≤-2 or x>0}
