Get updates on started threads?

After someone starts a thread, maybe they could get a notification when someone posts in that thread?

Ahh I think this would leave crazy amounts of notifications and sooner or later people will be complaining about it, forgetting/not seeing they received PM's or reputation from others and such.

I think you can subscribe to a thread can't you? In thread tools up above the first post. I mean... that may help out if you want to be notified when posts are posted.

You can subscribe to a thread and have it show updates in your User CP.

Yeah I found out right after I posted and felt stupid... Is there a way to get the update not by email, but by text? Even just for VIP users that would be cool.
