Only Mods allowed to mass tag.

No offense to anyone but I prefer not to be tagged in competition posts (unless I enter the competition) that are started up by members.

Is it possible to make a rule saying only mods can mass tag? Or only tag people you know (well, friends etc)

I don't mind being tagged, but perhaps there is a way to disabled getting notified when you are tagged? That way a new rule won't have to be added.

Yes, I notice a lot of people doing this aswell.
But honestly, it does no harm to take it away from all members.
If anything, there should be a option to disable it if wanted.

I second this idea. I don't want to remove notifications since I'd like to be notified if someone mentions me. But not if it's just to get me towards a thread that I've already read and decided didn't interest me.

I think you should be able to disable it, but still have a section where you can see if you have been mentioned.

Keep notifications, remove the "Mentions:" thing in the left bar - it's pointless.

I think you can just complain to someone who abuses this - It's not that annoying to go to page =P

Currently with the mod we have installed to the forum, it does not allow us to restrict different usergroups from mass tagging. If people are abusing the tag feature though, please PM me or a mod and we will deal with them. :)
