Hi, I recently learned about this forum and have been trying to get out of the neopets scene for a while. I've got some items I'd like to sell off but I'm not sure how to go about it! I saw a few guides for securing NP, selling accounts and selling pets, but how about selling items?

Is it even possible to sell items as a new member? Hopefully using a middle man would make that a non issue?

I'm hoping to start off with some of my smaller items and hopefully once those have been successfully sold I could move on to more interesting items :)

So, maybe a guide would be nice to know what sort of things I should know/have access to/have set up before getting into the selling business!

Thanks!
lil

You can sell item's as a new member.
You always can use a middleman. (You probably should until you build up your trade rep)

Here's a quick rundown.

1. Set up Western Union ([Only registered and activated users can see links]). This is probably what you'll be using the most as it's the safest way to send Neopets (although there are other secure ways of receiving money as well.)

2. Set up Paypal ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) if you don't already have one. Use this for lower level trades.

3. Pass the items that you want to sell off through several shells. Each item should be on its own separate shell with a standalone email. (As in, no other accounts are linked to that email.) Then let those items sit; don't log into them at all. You'll need proxies; never log into these accounts with the IP of your main.

4. Create a selling board for the stuff that you want to sell. Information that you should list:

Illegit/Legit
How it was obtained
Price you're looking for
Highest Bid so far
Preferred method of payment i.e. USD, gift cards, electronics, etc.

5. Add all the middlemen to your MSN. Get familiar with the process by reading guides and asking them questions.

6. Never go first. Either they go first or you use a MM. Since you have low iTrader, you're probably going with the latter.

Once you've done all this, selling as a process itself is pretty straightforward. List, discuss prices with potential buyers through PM, and so on.

You have me on MSN. Message me if you have any questions.

No problem. Oh and also, make boards on all of the cheating websites for maximum market exposure unless you're trying to keep the selling on the down low (i.e. you're selling something super extra hyper rare)
