Just looking for one for general use and the odd gaming now and then because to be honest who doesn't love a bit of gaming! :D
I would really like a reliable brand and prefer to stay away from Macs, they just confuse me too much!
So any help?

I found this one which seems to be quite nice. A Toshiba 15.6" Notebook
F750/066
Toshiba F750/066 - Intel Core i7-2670QM, 15.6", 8GB DDR3, 1TB HDD, nVIDIA GT540M 2GB(DDR3) w/Optimus, BD-RE, HDMI, TV Tuner, Windows 7 64bit Home Premium, 1 yr warranty.

You should get a desktop. Laptop's aren't really built to last forever. :P

Thats a good point.. build my own desktop? Ahh where to start hehe
But I kinda need a lappy as i'm planning to travel soon... that's the only factor thats holding me back.

Packard Bell/HP laptops are really good in my opinon. Their appearance and performance is outstanding :)
I would'nt recommend a Dell though. Those things fall apart like Blackberries.

Thank you! My last 2 laptops have been HPs and I have had constant battery and overheating problems with them, so was going to try something different!
thanks for the heads up on the Dell though ;)

No problem! ^.^ I see what you mean about the overheating with the HPs, I could probably grill bacon on the bottom of my HP :D

I can't offer reviews there unfortunately, I've only had experiences with Dells, HPs and Packard Bells :D Maybe you should read some online ratings and such? :)

Y U NO LIKE DELL?!

ME HAVE ALIENWARE, TIS EPIC :D

It does overheat sometimes though. Was aimbotting in MW3 and crashed from computer getting too hot. Building a new one though, by the time I'm finished, I will have spent €3,300 on computers :(

I would consider a Mac, if they didnt confuse me so much! Im so use to windows now and Im such a creature of habit I don't wanna change :P
Do Dell do alienware? Ive only seen one shop here in NZ stock those PCs, they are so outta this world!
If I had the funds i'd be spending the same on my PCs.. I love my techy stuff xD

I use a Mac for iOS development, and honestly, they're basically the same as Windows. Plus, if they get too confusing, there's always a Windows Virtual Machine...

And don't think of me as some wealthy guy who buys computers when he wants, it took me nearly a year to save up €1,500 for the AW...

And so far I've only ordered 1/6 of the components for my new one!

Plus, I'm Irish... = Recession.

And, Australian + NZ IT prices are pretty high, I've been told. That's a shame :P

OSX and Windows share a lot of similar features and there are lots of "making the switch" guides.

Plus you can always bootcamp windows ;)

But if you're looking for bang for your buck, build your own laptop :)
