What would you do if you won the lottery?

Let's say this hypothetical lottery is $100 million. What is the first thing you'd do?
What would you spend it on if it were less money?


For me? I'd buy both me and my husband new cars then take my sisters and sisters-in-law on a HUGE shopping spree and buy them whatever they wanted.
Then I'd buy my dream house. Then I'd probably donate some so I could write it off on my taxes xD

I'd give like 1/5 of it to my parents since they're always complaining about how much money they spend on me and my dad is 57 and isn't any where near close to retiring, haha. I'd give my sisters like $100k each, friends like $1k each, and buy myself a nice car, put some away for college, go on a shopping spree, and save the rest. x)

I would have a grand house built with every amenity, indoor/outdoor pools, tennis courts, baseball field, etc on private property with a few thousand acres. Also I'd have a nice condo/resort on my own island to vacation on, I'd have something like "The Hive" from Resident Evil built on my land with an underground tunnel from the house leading to it. I have a zombie fantasy/apocalypse and I'd want to be prepared for something to happen, tons of ammo, a helicopter underground for travel in case (I'd need lessons to fly of course). Various properties around the world for vacation for close friends and families. A hefty annuity so I'd be set when I was older. I'd invest in a lot of gold since it's always going up. Many vehicles for myself, select friends/family. A kidney donor for when one or both of mine fail. About a year after winning I'd have two surrogate mother's cause I want more babies of my own. I would likely adopt children with special needs, or help some families with handicapped children. I was never fond of donating to a charity but since having a baby I would likely donate to ones centered around children, abused children, ones with trisomy 13/18, down syndrome, cancer, etc. I mostly want a lot of children whether they're mine or adopted. I'd "hook up" a few mothers in my mom's group with houses or whatnot.

Buy my grandmother a house so she can stop living in a trailer and make it so she never has to work again. Give my little sister a college fund and make sure she's taken care of (Not meaning I'd spoil her, she still needs to learn how to fend for herself).
I'd buy my own house, nothing too big and fancy, just something my honey and I can be comfortable in. I'd also use the rest to help out our (close) family when they need it.
I'd still get a job, and I'd still try to support myself mainly on what I earn though.

First thing I'd do is donate to places like the Animal Humane society so that Puppy farms stop once and for all. Secondly I'd donate to the hospital I was born in. Thirdly I'l buy a house and lots of land so I can have a few of my favorite breeds of horses and give some to my mum and dad to pay off their car fees, then I'd use some for university. Next I'd go to England for a holiday and also to Florida to Disneyland. Next I'll buy 1,000 pairs of shoes for my walk in wardrobe. And get plastic surgery to reshape my nose. I have my biological fathers nose and I've hated it since I was 5.

But sadly I'll never win the lottery.. number one reason is because I dont play but when I worked at a convenience store there were several old people who would come in and play the lottery everyday with the same numbers and they would tell me they've been playing the same numbers for 40+ years and havent won. I dont like those odds.

This is a great question. I've always wondered what I'd do if I won the top prize (where I'm from, there're like, different prize tiers. I don't know about lotteries in other countries.) So my lottery's top prize usually gets split among an average of 3 winners (unless some bugger wins it all, in which case he might get a mil), and I think they get about 500k or something in the end. Don't know for sure so i'll just work with that.

Honestly, 500k here is nothing. There're lots of rich people where I'm from (and my family is considered poor). 500k can't even buy you a condo here. So there goes my dream of having my own place. What I would do, if it's possible, would be to move my family and I to an area closer to town. Then with the leftover money, I would probably take my driver's license and buy a cheap car so we can stop having to squeeze with the tens of thousands of people on our public transport. If I had any money left, I'd buy a dog, because I've wanted one since I could speak, but till now am not allowed to have one. THEN, if there's STILL money leftover by some miracle, I'd save it or donate some to good causes.
