iPhone issues-Camera and lock button help :3?

If anyone would have a clue what the problems are, I'd love to hear them ^_^.
I have an iPhone 4s, which worked fine until this week. The lock button started working sporadically, and now it's stuck.
And, as of today, whenever I open the camera application it locks up and crashes, or resprings the phone. I've hunted around online and not much seems to match, other than the lock
button's mechanism slipping out of place. I'm not quite ready to open it up, nor can I bring it to Apple for a few weeks. so if anyone has any recommendations please offer them :3!

My button also broke. I cannot take mine to Apple, because i love my jailbreak and they will give me a new phone that has too new of firmware to be jailbroken.

If you are running on 5.0 or 5.1 still, you can jailbreak and get an app called Activator which allows you to set tap/slide shortcuts to do other things like lock/unlock the phone or open an app, etc.

I've been using Assistive touch for mine, but I like the ability to take screenshots, or turn my phone back on once it's off :P. No luck in repairing?

Is your phonr jailbroken? :P

I currently double tap my clock to unlock/lock and drag down on the status bar to take screenshots :P

Works fine.


but no. I will not be getting it fixed until a Jailbreak comes out for the latest software :P

I was able to fix the camera, but I'm still waiting to go to Apple :).

Well based on what you said about already having searched the web for similar cases, the only thing I can see left for you to do is really go pay Apple a visit already.

I mean, only you know exactly what's going on with the lock button.

You didn't drop it or anything? Although it would be weird even if you did though. I have an iphone 4 that has gone through just about every kind of physical torture from my carelessness and constant dropping but everything still works fine.
