The solar eclipse is on August 21st and will make the day really dark, so I can only assume this is what she is referencing.

I think brenda_bbm meant discount sales, like they do in April and November, but Scrappy thought they were asking for the next time they'd be sold in the mall. The main Neopets page says they're "on sale now," as in they're being sold now.
