no offence but if you ever feel safe anywhere online when it comes to LGBT shit then you're doomed from the start lol. There's been obvious transphobia and homophobia within ck for as long as it has lived? Which incidentally is why we need threads like this to let them know we're not going anywhere and love to shove our sexuality and our labels down their throats :3

I guess, although it is sort of that "ignorance is bliss" sort of situation for me, the less I know about the people I'm talking to, the less I have to worry about. Also, the reverse too, where the less people know about me, the less I have to worry about. I am usually very, very private about my sexuality, because even people close to me like my friends and parents think either it's just a phase and that I should just get over it and find a husband already, and they mock me, saying that everyone's a bit pan and I shouldn't think myself that way (a.k.a. my mother), or they think that I'm a pervert who will hump anyone (which I've heard from several friends of mine before).

I created this thread to educate, rather than shame people who don't know better, or want to learn more.

This thread isn't a 'safe space' by any stretch of the term. And it isn't meant to be one, there's going to be things people are offended by or not like. My advice is just avoid the thread if that sort of thing isn't your cup of tea. There's others here who are willing to do that in your place.

Why do you care so much if the person on the other side of the screen disapproves of how you live your life? You think people don't hate everyone for some reason or another?? Want to bully them for their choices and/or lifestyle? We're here to cheat at neopets and bullshit about random, asinine garbage. This is a place for you to be anonymous and silly. Ck is a varied, shmorgasboard of crazies from all walks of life.

And darlin', the internet was never meant to be a 'safe space'. It's a free exchange of ideas and opinions that you might not like or agree with. The entire world is never going to like anyone. Gotta learn to cope with it.

Is there ever a question that you get sick of answering? That people consistently ask when they know you are part of the LGBT community?

Your gender is set as female, so I'm going to assume you're female. How can you be "anti-feminism" and in the same sentence talk about political views that feminism gave you, as a female, the right to have? Seems pretty privilged of you, when it was feminists that fought, got locked up in jail for years, and even died, to get you to rights you take advantage of. Maybe you should fly over to Somalia and tell a 7 year old girl that's just been married off to a 45 year old man that you're "anti-feminist". The world extends beyond the ol' US of A, and feminism is absolutely needed in the majority of the world.

Off LGBT topic, but hey, it's kind of along a similar "all people deserve equality" train of thought. I'm a female in a first world country, and I thank god every day that I got to go to school and leave my house without a male escort - basic rights that so many women do not have.

ok i do apologise bc my last comment was kinda condescending and unnecessary and i get wanting to be in an ignorance is bliss situation but for me its impossible because im constantly aware people around me want me dead. even the good ones can turn on you. ive had people have fallouts with me and immediately return to calling me a girl, and this is over stuff like "i didnt invite them to a party i was going to with some mutual friends" and thats such a telling piece of evidence that this person doesnt see me as anything but a girl. the fact of the matter is, weeding out the homophobes and the transphobes early on in a relationship makes for much easier existence in the long run. dont let yourself be friends with people who dont think youre a person, or invalidate your identity because they dont believe in it. it might be easier to keep your head in the sand but you really dont need nor deserve the kind of toxicity that comes with people who dont take you seriously or dislike you because of you. love yourself enough to weed out the snakes and cut them loose as far away from you as possible. the cishets might not believe lgbt phobia is real but as you know now its very real and its too real to let yourself be surrounded by people who you feel unsafe around.

See... I knew someone was going to go there. You know damn well I wasn't talking about females in 3rd world shitholes being forced to live like that. I'm talking about the militant pussy-hat paraders demanding special privileges and drinking out of "male tears" mugs while trending hashtags like #killallmen. The girls who bitch about catcalling and think America is a rape culture. There are bad people everywhere. Learn to defend yourself.

My grandmother doesn't even adhere to the feminist title anymore because of how 3rd feminists have imaged themselves. She's a real feminist. Christina Hoff Summers is a real feminist. The current wave of crybabies have hijacked the title and ruined it. I don't want that kind of crazy associated with my name. I love equality of opportunity. I don't like special privileges and that's what they want. Don't bother trying to "educate" me. I've done my research and made my decisions like an adult. If you feel you're treated unfairly, you have government and legal recourse. If you live in a 3rd world shithole ruled by men, bless you and fight on, sister. I wish you well.

Now get this thread back on topic and drop it.
