I feel like the pet slot thing will be limited to like one a year/6 months and the same with UCs so they can still keep them "rare" in a sense. That and the team is out of touch with just how much their user base will pay for these features lol.

Anywho, I like them update, but am also upset it's pay walled. Y'all have Geekify merch, your own merch shop now, and regular NC, but hey let's squeeze out more money somehow. Really hope after this we just get back on schedule with fixing the dang site.

Please Brittany don't give them ideas on one pet slot every year or 6 months I had visions of my pets finally being all together on one account

I personally stand my previous opinion no. At least, not for a very long time that is still potentially never. The old art would definitely take TONS of resources to be converted into files that will play nice with customization is my assumption and that is absolutely something they don’t have the resources for at the moment, with everything else still going on. But I’m with you, killing the UC RB Zafara was a crime against humanity. p_q

I would argue that the art file would just be a single layer vector file, but I'm not a professional..... :eyes:

I'm a (former) big NC buyer, I'm not against spending money for things on Neopets...but why is every update we get now about how we can spend more money? I want things to DO on the site, not more gacha and moneysinks :/ I mean, I'll probably still try the UC thing if it's not a gacha, because all their capsule rates are undisclosed and probably horrible.

I hope they say what charity the pride funds are going to soon too!

Wait someone who actually buys NC stuff please answer me - do mystery capsule odds get published anywhere...? Like an item breakdown for the % change to get x item or the bonus item etc? Because MapleStory had to start publishing that info a while ago and all my gacha mobage have to publish that info on each banner too (the drop rate of each item) and like if they mess up even one typo they can get into really hot water for false advertising. If neopets has never published this RNG info before how the fuck have they been getting away with not being regulated? They could literally be fudging numbers and rates for all we know ahaha >.>;

Nope, they don't. The odds are never made public. Right now, I think the only laws or best practices around it are for: games on the iOS App Store, games on the Google Play store, games developed/released through a console, and for the Chinese version of games. Since Neopets isn't published for a console - and I'm not sure how China defines "video game" - they might be sliding under the radar by being a web-based pet sim.

Imagine PB/MP prices if we need our pet to be what we want before the NC item makes it a UC. Like if you want a UC Plushie Yurble, your pet needs to already be a Plushie Yurble. :eyes:

Plushie and Faerie PBs and MPs have more than doubled in value since they announced they would be rereleasing UCs months ago. Unfortunately, it's just a few small buyers that cornered most of the market. But it does make nerkmids more worthwhile

I have always felt that TNT would bring UCs back and make them obtainable with NC if they got desperate enough for money

Wow, I'm surprised the UC thing is actually happening. I want to have hope, but I'm skeptical that they'll pull it off.

At least this gives me a reason to peek at the boards for the first time in a while.
