You should get a desktop. Laptop's aren't really built to last forever.
Just looking for one for general use and the odd gaming now and then because to be honest who doesn't love a bit of gaming!
I would really like a reliable brand and prefer to stay away from Macs, they just confuse me too much!
So any help?
I found this one which seems to be quite nice. A Toshiba 15.6" Notebook

Thats a good point.. build my own desktop? Ahh where to start hehe
But I kinda need a lappy as i'm planning to travel soon... that's the only factor thats holding me back.
Packard Bell/HP laptops are really good in my opinon. Their appearance and performance is outstanding
I would'nt recommend a Dell though. Those things fall apart like Blackberries.

Thank you! My last 2 laptops have been HPs and I have had constant battery and overheating problems with them, so was going to try something different!
thanks for the heads up on the Dell though
No problem! ^.^ I see what you mean about the overheating with the HPs, I could probably grill bacon on the bottom of my HP
Dell is a very good choice, the battery takes a lot of time to over. ;D mine i Dell
Every HP laptop I've ever owned/seen someone own results in the charger/battery failing after about a year
