Happened to me too.

I bought a inactive semi-main and stored my UCs on there.

A month later "original owner" came back, changed the pw and ul. Dunno how they got into the email for that account though.

A number of things could have led this to happen. Posting on the neoboards and getting a mods attention will get them to change the info on you so you can't access it anymore.

I didn't go on the boards or socialise with anyone. The only thing that could have gotten my name out was a trophy I won from a game. :/

it happens I came back after almost +4 years and my account was with someone else...I only can thank the person for +4 avyes and plus 3M and hate him/her for trowing my pets.

edit: read the whole thread and it sounds like your email was hacked, not old owner. Sorry for your loss.

For the record: I did have an old owner come back to an account that was a complete shell when I got my hands on it. Sometimes shit happens. Weird people decide to play neo all the sudden after years of being away lol

I have a theory. Possibly far-fetched, but.
I'm assuming your seller never logged out of the account they sold you, and restored all of the old settings with a different password to lock you out again.
