    Help with 11th grade geometry.

I need to find the area of these objects:

    5. A regular heptagon with a side of 7 inches

    6. A trapezoid where the height is 18 cm, base 1 = 16 cm and b2 = 8 cm.

    7. A trapezoid where the height = 7 mm, base 1 = 26 mm and base 2 = 9 mm.

I know I have to split them up. But somehow I always end up getting the wrong answer.

Thanks in advance. I will be sure to + rep anyone that helps.

To find the area of a trapezoid, you have to take the sum of its bases and multiply it by the height, and then divide the result by 2.

    5. 178,06 inches squared

    6. 216 cm squared

    7. 122,5 mm squared

For future reference, google will actually help you with the calculations.
(you need an account to see links) (for trapezoid)
(you need an account to see links) (for heptagon)
Those links just asked me to input the info and it gave the answer. Cath beat me to posting them though!
@(you need an account to see links), wouldn't it be squared, not cubed, since it's area, not volume?

Totally, sorry for the typo! It's definitely squared and not cubed.
