ok so idk if it's just me but I feel like people give Kim Kardashian a lot of hate and their reasoning is "she's famous for no talent!"
whereas, the entire british royal family is like loved, adored, and respected, but do they have any talent either?
actually, it seems as if Kim actually worked for her fame. you know..that tape that was leaked actually did not make her famous. she was famous before that and she worked as stylists for brandy and iirc Lindsey Lohan. now she is a business woman, a designer, I guess even a model!
what does the royal family do? idk, when I ask others, their response is always like "they're sort of 'for show'" and their lives aren't even public ("for show") like the kardashians are so are they even doing their job and who even pays them??
furthermore, and most arguably, it is understood by many that Kim as well as the other kardashians/jenners are actual feminist icons. just a few weeks ago, Kim posted a controversial selfie with her wearing nothing and had those now iconic 'black censor bars' over her private parts. many celebrities attacked her while at the same time many came to her defense. Kim claims that her body makes her feel empowered; I also see it as a way to defy society's double standards: why is a man allowed to share his bare body and be celebrated for it but when a woman does it she is shamed? it's society's way of shaming women's sexuality which is totally unfair. and that is what Kim is attacking. she is making a stance, fully embracing her sexuality--the selfie is a metaphorical middle finger to society's double standards, an "F-U" to the pervasive notion that women need to be modest and reserved, and finally a powerful and unapologetic callout to "sl*t-shaming" culture.
while women don't need to reveal their bodies to defend or have the same viewpoint as Kim, I feel Kim is visibly more active in promoting feminism. yes, I understand that posting a selfie is not the same as advocating for women's fundamental human rights that are lacking in many other parts of the world, it is nevertheless an effective way to empower women as encouragement to embrace your body, womanhood, and sexuality.
what do you think? has this changed your views on the kardashians at all?
and my question was originally, "why are the kardashians hated but the British Royal family is adored?" people question "why are the kardashians famous?" but not the British Royal family.

I don't like famous people because I should be famous and it's not fair

Because the people who are prone to complaining about that sort of thing don't like the stuff that the Kardashians do, like the reality show they have (they're very... modern, for better or worse). The British royal family doesn't do anything that the people who complain about this sort of thing wouldn't like.
Take my words with a grain of salt though, I don't pay attention to either family

Oh goodness this again? Money, vanity, popularity above all else, egotism all come to mind when the Kardashians are brought up. Then maybe the thought that too many kids worship them. It is sad. As for why they are popular? Porn and lawyer daddy.
As for the British Monachry what comes to mind is Princess Diana and her incredible charity during her life, the boys being respected military men, and the Queen running the Sovereign Commonwealth of 53 Nations. I do not pay any attention to them though as I oo not actually know what else they do.
I am not sure what made you decide on the Royal family as a comparison.

because it's like the Royal family is "famous for no reason" other than "for show"???? jealousy is a horrible reason to hate a family. and as I said earlier, that tape is not what made the kardashians famous.
funny how you think highly of the British monarchy's past where as you totally degrade the kardashians. robert kardashian, a smart and successful lawyer who against the odds defended perhaps the most infamous court case of the 90s. Caitlyn Jenner (then known as Bruce Jenner), a true American hero winning gold in the Olympics. so what are lawyers and Olympians no longer respected in America?
look at all the charities and causes Kim has supported (you need an account to see links)
even Caitlyn Jenner, still considered part of the kardashian family, is an amazing and courageous public figure who encourages people to be true to themselves.

You asked a question about why people would hate Kardashians and why they would not hate the Royal Family. I answered with "what comes to mind" answers for both.
I could not care less about either. Though I guess I would pay a bit more attention to the Queen since I am Canadian and the British Monarchy has big time ties with Canada.
If either family group pops up on my TV though I change the channel. I am sure many people feel that same way.

@(you need an account to see links) thank you for your answer. sorry if I sounded like I was attacking you haha I really appreciated your answer though. I feel like your response is what most people's initial response would be as well.
The British royal family are the figureheads of an entire country. That's the way that country has worked for quite a long time. They might not have all the power in their hands but im pretty sure they could get some stuff done if they wanted to. They didn't have to put a sex tape out in order to become famous. They have class and dignity and are generally pretty agreeable people. Comparing them to Kim is hilarious.
Kim is famous for no reason. She may have been a stylist, but tons of people are stylists lol. She was made famous over a sex tape and now her ego is insane. I personally find her annoying. I think she's a terrible role model for anybody to look up to tbh. Seems like a typical reality star to me, nothing special. "Look at me, im so great" - only.. In this case she's only famous for telling people to look at her. I usually try to avoid all things involving her and her family because they just don't interest me. I simply don't care about them, not worth giving attention to.
To each their own though. I won't fault anybody for idolizing her (okay maybe a little lol), im just not interested.
What's my definition of success?
Creating something no one else can
Being brave enough to dream big
Grindin' when you're told to just quit
Giving more when you got nothin' left
