I thought this topic would be a good idea to put here. Let's find out if it was lol.
There's a lot of questions people have about the LGBT community and what they face, though people generally treat them like morons, or bigots for having questions about a group of people they're trying to understand. I've always seen a lack of people willing to offer honest information without getting offended by it.
So, here we go. A topic where you can ask anything honestly, and get honest answers. (I just don't want personal questions about myself, other members can decide if they're accepting personal questions.)
So, no matter how you think it'll sound, if you have a question, or would like to start a discussion feel free to speak your mind, without judgement or hostility.
I didn't think I'd need to include this, but this topic is not an excuse to be an asshole, from either side.
Hate toward cis/het people, or toward LGBT people will not be tolerated. This isn't the place for that.

Why can't you guys go four seconds without mentioning how LGBTWTFBBQ you are?

I personally don't. It's usually not relevant to bring it up. (This is a different context, I mean outside of this post.)
The people I've noticed doing this make their entire life style based around being that exact thing, and that's nothing something I really think people should do.

I don't usually talk about LGBT+ topics but I think it's safe to talk about this here.
Answering @(you need an account to see links) 's question: I don't feel anything about that, to be honest.
They're actually free to do whatever they want as long as they follow the rules such as not .. being naked in public and/or doing obscene things in public.
Of course there are other rules but I'm just stating those to the "half-naked" in public places (parades).
Does it reinforce a negative stereotype? Yes.
So if we stop having those kinds of individuals in parades things will get better? Probably not. What we can do, as gay people, is to show society that we are just .. normal humans who happen to be emotionally and sexually attracted to people who's gender is the same as yours.
