Has anyone ever REALLY gotten in trouble for this?
So I made a deal with this girl to do a pet trade for a custom. And she was like, "I have the name I want in the pound!" Cool, whatever. Then she comes back and tells me that she actually adopted the pet because she didn't want to risk missing the name.
I know that we're not supposed to do customs on a name that the person you're trading with has ever owned, but I'm wondering how serious of a rule this is. Has anyone here had any experience getting in trouble for doing this?
I've done it a couple times, never gotten caught, just don't let everyone else know and you're fine. Would have been better if the other person didn't blatantly say that though D:
Worst case scenario you'll get a warning. That rule is only there for protection so you don't take someone's pet and then not trade back ("scamming" them of their pet). With the rule, TNT doesn't have to deal with trade backs. But if you're going to do it, just go ahead. Play dumb if you have to!
I figured that there's no real punishment for it besides a warning, which I could handle.
And I'm definitely not going to keep the pet even if the trade falls through.
What @(you need an account to see links) said. I've done it a lot of times as well and I've never gotten in trouble for it, it's okay as long as you don't let anyone know (including the person you'll be trading with) that it's against the rules.
