Site as time need to be able to play FC? I was told it was three years, but I do not know.

You should be able to play it immediately, but the amount of NP you can bet (and therefore win) is dependent on your account age.
Specifically, it's 50 + 2*age in days

Food club is a bunch of pirates competing in a food eating contest, each one has strengths and weaknesses. You bet on the pirates you think would do good in a certain arena. There's five arenas. I use Garet's Food Club Bets (Just search it in google) for my bets and it's worked pretty good so far, I've won several, and have lost a few, but the profit is well worth it. I believe he explains it a bit on the site and he goes into detail about what he's picking for bets and why he's picking them
