Someone asked me for my neo screen name on here.
Am I allowed to tell them who I am? I tried to reread the rules and didn't see it in there. I know our clraik screenies have to be different than our actual neo usernames but I am curious what the policy is on people asking each other their screen names and if I can answer them.

There's no oficial policy about that tbh, if it's a friend you can tell them, but I highly suggest you never tell anyone your Neopets username unless you are already "close" friends, and they are reliable on the community, and all that. You are allowed to tell them of course. But for your own safety and account's safety, is better to chose wisely who you tell.

That includes PMs, but there isn't really any rule regarding that. I'd recommend not doing it as well. If you trust them you can do it, can't really complain if something bad happens later though.-) This is a friendly reminder to not post any information or pictures that may lead someone to figuring out your online game accounts, such as Neopets.

I play neo straight up. Just read the forum to stay informed as I find it has some of the best content. Is there still any risk with people knowing who I am? Would neo actually ban me just for being a member here if I don't cheat?
They've done that before, freezing people just for being part of a cheating forum.. Even if they don't actually cheat. The risk would be that person knowing your username and reporting you for whatever reason. Only people you can give your username to without having to worry would be staff, but we don't ask for usernames unless it's needed.

If you don't share your username to anyone in any way on here, then there is no way someone can find out your account. And Neopets cannot find out you visit clraik.

Word of advice, give them a different account name that you own. If that account is still not iced a month later you can trust them
