Resetting your router will only change your ip if it is a dynamic IP. If it's static, you could always call your service provider and see what they can do. @(you need an account to see links)
I'm running on Windows 7, I use Google Chrome for everything.
Friend told me to use an IP randomizer, but I really don't trust him that much.

If you don't care where the IP is from yeah, a proxy or VPN. If you want YOUR public IP disconnecting your modem/router for some mins should do the trick and as learning said: won't work if your IP is static, you'll have to call your ISP.
