Neopets now has Ambassadors

I don't know what to think about this, lol. Did they mostly just choose random people with large friend networks that recommended them?

Here's how TNT has described what the ambassadors will be responsible for:

These ambassadors will work with us directly to improve Neopia by highlighting community concerns, providing feedback on planned initiatives, and more. Players are encouraged to reach out to community ambassadors if they have any issues they’d like to see addressed. Drop them a Neomail, they don’t bite!

Also, from looking at board 7, there are a lot of people displeased from these selections as well.

I didn't realize some of these users were disliked this much.

This kind of reminds me of when Crypto was really popular and every new coin had "brand ambassadors" lol. Lets hope this turns out for the better not worse I guess...

I’m torn. On the one hand, people who can provide feedback from the community and actually have a real voice is a good thing. I’m heartened by the step in the direction of listening.

On the other hand, it’s all too vague and feels like they’re easy scapegoats. There’s no transparency in why these people were chosen. What the fuck does an economy ambassador do? Why do we need one?

Whilst I don’t trust TNT and they certainly haven’t earned the benefit of any doubt, it’s something compared to the status quo of nothing. We’ll see.
