Just downgrade and disable chrome updates?
I think there's a task in task scheduler too(if you're using Windows)
Noticed that too, had two desktop icons and I was like lolwut? xD
You're using chrome 40 right?
Hey, I noticed today that Chrome no longer has the little cat icon I selected in the upper left corner. Now a tab is in the right corner, and in order to change the "person," Chrome has to bring up another window, and I have to manually click on another icon/person. Is this a new change? Is there a way to change it back?It's kinda aggravating me because it seems that I am now limited to the amount of icons/people that I can create, and now it takes longer to move from one to the next (because I have to wait for the new window to pop up, rather than just clicking the icon and selecting another).
Does anyone know what's up with this? Any help is appreciated!!

You can disable chrome running in the background and the icons will disappear. Also I don't know about you but I don't get the pop-up window or anything to change a person. It's simply a little drop down window with my picture, and the options of incognito/switch users. Clicking the switch user simply signs me out and prompts a logic on the little drop down.

I believe it's Chrome 40, if that's the newest edition. Ugh. I'll see about downgrading, thanks!

Is yours the newest version? If so, how did you switch to having that? The little dropdown window is what I used to have, and now it's gone ;;
Yeah I have the newest version. I'm not really sure. It could be because I have switched accounts a lot before it updated. Possibly saving the information instead of popping up in a new window? I use Chrome and Opera interchangeably so I didn't really notice a difference until the update (because of the google icon.)

you should get a notification when it needs to be updated like it would when java is outdated. If not google latest chrome.
@(you need an account to see links) - I still have the drop down menu, and it's updated aha. I honestly have no idea how?
