If Neopets wasn't "dying," I'd say the site seems to have become irrelevant. It's just not as popular as it used to be, I guess. :\

in my opinion neopets just doesn't have a lot of hope because kids/young adults are into different things now :/

most of their current players stay out of nostalgia. When I was a kid neopets was a nice way to interact with my friends online and make new friends (the pets and games were a plus but my internet was so slow these aspects were hardly utilized to full potential). But now there's about 20000 other sites to do this on. Also kids nowadays have some sort of adult complex

With the site in its current condition I wouldn't recommend it to my younger relatives even if they would be interested in this sort of game. Imagine if I introduced my little niece to the game and her account got hacked and subsequently had everything on it deleted by Tony. Nope. Definitely gonna avoid that situation at all costs, thank you very much.

I'm a crusty lady in my 30's and very out of the loop. What type of gaming sites do teenagers like these days? Wish JS would do something to draw them in.

    Right there with ya.

I think they need to jump deeper into the app world; almost everything is mobile now. (I say this as a blogger; if your blog isn't mobile friendly it dies.)

But honestly; who wants to join a site that has issues all over the place? A ton of things just don't work, and as a new user that is incredibly off-putting.

If I was introduced to the site now in it's current condition; I wouldn't have joined.

Good point. I wouldn't either, and the only reason current users do tolerate it is because most of us are hopelessly glued to the site, even if it sucks now. lolz.
