This has got to be the strangest article I've read in awhile. Why is this still ok and happening more and more each day.
This is just from ONE of the many bases....
(you need an account to see links)
"A government-contracted security force threatened to arrest doctors and nurses if they divulged any information about the contagion threat at a refugee camp housing illegal alien children at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, sources say."
"She said children in the camp had measles, scabies, chicken pox and strep throat as well as mental and emotional issues."
"The nurse told me she became especially alarmed because their files indicated the children had been transported to Lackland on domestic charter buses and airplanes"

Oooh I see a conspiracy to cover-up. It's been on the news though, so I'm not shocked at all. It's quite sad actually.

Just imagine though.
They are busing and flying these people all over the country... using public transportation. This could be the same bus or airplane that you may be traveling on over this fourth of july weekend.
I don't know about you, but that makes me pretty uncomfortable!

Wait, so the nurses are complaining about having to treat sick children? I don't agree with keeping sickness in a refugee center "hush hush", but the part where the medical staff is concerned about being exposed to illness kind of baffles me.
I don't think they are complaining about having to treat people. They are saying how crazy it is, how diseased these people are.
The thing they are complaining about is they were forced to keep all this information quite or risk getting fired. I could understand places like NSA having policies like this, but not a place like this. Why is the government forcing them to keep quiet?

These "children of illegals" need to go back to their families on the other side of the border. I personally don't see how it's our duty to treat them, spend out tax money to leech. Sorry to offend but that's just me. However I am with you Andrew. They're mostly sending those kids out West though. @(you need an account to see links)
I don't think it's the fact they are sick children, but illegal children that have been smuggled over and through the border of Mexico.
So you want these infected children to be walking down the street where they could infect someone who has cancer or has a shot immune system? It's why when you get sick they quarantine you. I agree with the quarantine.

I definitely agree with you. I'm not sure about the children specifically, but I know they are sending illegals in general all throughout the country. I think I said in a prior post somewhere that there is a "refugee center" going up about 15mins from my house that will house about 200 illegals to start. -_-
I'm glad people came forward and spoke up about this though, this is such a shady thing for the govt to be doing..
“Everyone was paranoid,” she said. “The children had more rights than the workers.”

I don't mean to sound spiteful but why is it that they have more rights than an American born or a naturalized citizen? That makes no sense to me. Oh gosh 15 minutes away?! Shouldn't your district have been able to have a community discussion over this? Governments have been doing shady things since its conception however these past 10 years, it's just gotten worse. Can you keep us posted on the news of their arrival?

I totally agree with you. idk how many people here follow this stuff, I feel like I'm just blabbing with I go off talking about political stuff sometimes though xD
I was reading another article today where there was the special license that would give illegals a license and the right to drive in the US. I'm just confused why people here illegally are treated like royalty with all these freebies. It blows my mind. There was another article going on about how if we dont fix the borders and the immigration problems we would be well on our way to backtracking into a third world country before too long. Maybe a bit of stretch but I see what the general point of the article was o-o
I'm used to the govt just doing whatever they want really. I only heard about it in the papers after everything was already in place. Apparently other counties already had some similar things, but they are coming to my county too now.

Yeah, they definitely should've transported those people in a different way, if at all. It's common sense not to let people with communicable diseases into public areas. For example, even children with colds are asked to stay at home from school. And especially children with lice are supposed to remain at home until the lice is gone.
So I agree with them keeping the emergency room off limits to the public (I don't see why they mentioned that in the article as if it was in an attempt to prevent the public from finding out what was going on there. Aren't emergency rooms usually like that?)
That's the part that gave me the impression that the nurses were complaining about the extent of the illness and their exposure to it.Some of the workers were very concerned about touching things and picking things up. They asked if they should be concerned, but they were told don’t worry about it.”
The nurse said the lice issue was epidemic – but everything was kept “hush-hush.”
“You could see the bugs crawling through their hair,” she said. “After we would rinse out their hair, the sink would be loaded with black bugs.”
I wish the article had provided a little insight to "the other side of the story", because right now it seems like the entire article is a reiteration of gossip.
