Out of curiosity, which VPN service are you using? I use Earth VPN and it's just as fast as my normal internet.

I use Hide My Ass! Pro VPN and usually it's almost as fast as my connection too. But there are some locations, like New York and San Francisco, that get so slow that sometimes it takes minutes to load a single page.
