I'd suggest putting in a ticket... Are you positive it's the original owner?
Unfortunately asking people to break into the account or get you the password is not allowed on here.

How did they regain access? Did you leave the password or email unchanged, or did they submit a ticket and have access restored by TNT?
If it's the latter you may be SOL, but if it's the former submit tickets and also contact them via Facebook on both the Neopets and Jumpstart pages with the ticket number and account name requesting they assign your ticket to someone ASAP.
Ow, I'm sorry that happened :/
Send a ticket since if you have done many changes on it, and have many info, you can have a chance.
You didn't changed the mail or something?

I sent in a ticket and contacted both JumpStart and Neopets on Facebook. I hadn't changed the information because there were no neofriends linked to the account and the original owner hadn't loggin since a long long time ago. I didn't want to raise any suspicion about the account for nothing. Usually don't have any problem working that way when the owner has actually left the site. Didn't plan they would come back right after me taking possession of it. I do have all the informations needed about this account. We'll see what happen! I'll just quit or something if the account can't be returned to me.

If you didn't change any of the information, might it be that someone else had it as well?
Maybe if you bought the account off someone, they had the info as well and/or other account sellers?

There's a chance that the password could reset back to what you had it before they changed it, but it's not very likely.
I would submit a ticket and use any recent activity that you'd done on the account to show you were on it.
If you got significant RE's, like a Boochi zap, I'd submit those. Any recent avatars from dailies, or any significant ones should be listed.
Recently adopted pets, or pets that were abandoned when you got onto the account.
If you don't have access to the old Email, I'd list it as a school Email that you no longer have access to, and provide the Email you were currently using on the account.
PM me if you need anything to rebuild if you plan on doing so, and good luck, Cath!
