Have you ever wondered which Royal Korbat clickable avatar that “other” gendered accounts receive?

For those unfamiliar with avatar collecting, there are 2 clickable Royal Korbat avatars.
It is impossible to have BOTH avatars - you get one of the two based on whether your account gender is set to �male� or �female�.

�Male� gendered accounts recieve the (you need an account to see links) avatar when viewing the pet lookup of a male Royal Korbat (you need an account to see links)

�Female� gendered accounts recieve the (you need an account to see links) avatar by viewing the pet lookup of a female Royal Korbat (you need an account to see links)

I�ve always been extremely curious about which one of the Royal Korbat avatars that people who have their gender listed as �other� get?
Do they get neither? Do they get both? Do they get to choose????!?!?!

Ive been meaning to get on a shell or make a shell acc �other� gendered and find out for over a year now and FINALLY got around to doing it.

I made a brand new account and signed up as �other� gender and activated the account.
I first went to the lookup of royal male korbat... no avatar.
I then went to the lookup of a royal girl korbat AND..... no avatar.

So, there we have it. For the few other people I�ve seen also asking this question over the past couple of years;

I’m unsure about this. I know I ended up getting the same one I already had (and if memory serves me correctly, I DID change my gender before cashing in the boon)

All I confirmed was that “other” gendered accounts that have ALWAYS been “other” will not receive either avatar unless they change to male or female

The only way to have both is from the CC Avatar award / boon from this year. You don't get it from the Skirmish battle boons.

TNT probably figured it would trigger people regardless of which avatar the "other" gender would give, so they're letting users change to f/m themselves and choose which one they want. It would also be unfair to give the other gender both avs, and it would mess a whole lotta things up if they made an entirely new royal korbat-themed avatar just for this occassion. (Plus tnt's understaffed/lazy/incompetent anyway) If you consider the alternatives, giving neither really is the best option, even if some people don't see it as a good one.

I agree - and this was just a curiosity that’s been jumping in and out of my mind for a while - I’ve seen other people, while google searching the topic, who were asking the same thing on other forums & a few times on the neoboards.
It was just something I’ve been meaning to get to the bottom of

And yes. Getting neither avatar is in no way a problem at all... changing your account gender takes 2 clicks and is reversable at any time ����*♀️

This is kinda making me wish that TNT made a neutral Korbat avatar to fill this gap. Someone should write into the editorial about this

Man, people certainly act self entitled.
If a person wants the avatar so bad, that person can go to user preferences and change their gender to male or female and proceed to get the desired avatar. Switch back to other. Five seconds of your time. Nobody is asking you to give up your title of "being something other", or undergo surgery? It's a hidden avatar that is unlocked by viewing a Royal Korbat, and receiving the avatar of the opposite gender.
TNT is not making some kind of politically offensive statement, when an account that registered as other does not receive the avatar when viewing a korbat. They're not saying, "Oh you aren't male or female. You don't get either avatar!" please. Do people really feel entitled to a special other korbat avatar? Probably, yeah. But they can just switch their gender and go get the avatar they want like the rest of us, like those who prefer the Male korbat avatar because of its awesome red and gold color scheme but got the ugly pink one instead.

Ummm... was there a comment that was deleted or something that im not seeing on here that you’re directing that at? While I agree with everything you said to the fullest extent, I dont see anyone here acting entitled nor requesting changes be made to the korbat avatar situation. I literally made this thread because its just something ive always been curious about. Not trying to ~*~make a change~*~ or call to action. And every other person that ive ever came across who wondered the same thing were just simply curious as well.

Please do not interpret this as some avatar social justice thread.
