    Moving to Japan

Just looking for personal blogs/helpful links for dealing with Japan.

Our stuff just went through and we'll be moving in April.

    Iwakuni area. So:

    1. what's rent like?
    2. is it a friendly-ish area?
    3. good places to go for movies/food/dog parks?
    4. normal prices on everyday stuff?
    5. does everyone speak english?
    6. is it hard to learn how to drive on the wrong side of the road?
    7. are conversions hard to learn?
    8. best vending machines for dinner because I'm spending the first year there eating out of a machine for shits and gigs.

really just any information so that I can stop my mild panic. I'm really nervous. Also, am i allowed to be a dick or does the japanese police force like arresting people?

I only lived in Japan for a month, so I can't help with all your questions, but first thing is, if you speak English, you will definitely be able to manage just fine.
Not everyone speaks English, but Japanese people are really nice and helpful. A lot of people will definitely help you out if they see you're from somewhere else and you need help, so no worries! I hope you'll enjoy your time there, I'm quite jealous to be honest.*<3

But I'm coming to Hawaii for two weeks in June!!!
    What's my definition of success?
Creating something no one else can
Being brave enough to dream big
Grindin' when you're told to just quit
Giving more when you got nothin' left

    ^lol.

    4. Don't expect typical North American foods to go cheap there; either they're imported or just pricey due to low demand.
    5. Politeness is the universal language there, not English.
    6. Nope. Autonomy will come soon enough. Just remember that 'left is right and right is wrong'.

Coming from Canada where there are increasing numbers of RHD JDMs being imported every year, it's not very difficult. But you still have to be aware at first, eg. the turn signal and wipers are on the opposite sides, so don't turn on your wipers by accident when you want to signal a turn, lol. (I am strongly considering buying a RHD when I get the money in a few months' time.)
