if they were going to do something, they would have by now
they're yet to even patch the glitch
they certainly aren't going to rollback, which just leaves removing the duped items/freezing the people flaunting the duped items

How is Neopets done without a rollback?
Cheaters have more shit to sell, buyers have less shit to buy because prices onsite will deflate
The only thing duping has achieved is kill the illegit market, and we're all responsible for it.
Things will continue and pick up eventually onsite but as sellers, we're the ones that are most fucked without a rollback.
Cheaters need it way more than anyone else.

As much as it's destroying offsite sales, it's REALLY fucking up the economy for legit players too. SuAP going for 100m or whatever it ends up at also affects the prices of every other battledome weapon as well, because why buy a Gsword when you can pay an extra 30m for a SuAP?

So everyone keeps saying the duped high-end items will 'destroy' the economy. Is that just for the rich (people with net worth 100m+, 1b+ etc who actually own items near the value of what is being duped) or will it affect the average neoboard kids who have never seen more than 10m in their lives as well? Or? Very curious to hear theories.

It all depends on who you are. Look at the number of 'lend me' boards on the AC right now, if you're someone like that you're pretty clearly benefiting from the whole situation.
If you're someone that actually had anything of value before all this, it's comparatively pretty worthless now and chances are you're pretty pissed off.
What's happened is practically the same as when the Forgotten Shore started giving out Draik eggs. If you had one beforehand you complained and if you didn't you quietly went and made a fucking draik for a fraction of the price, if not free.
The part I really don't understand is why people that sell on here were duping like crazy. I'm assuming the value of those items is gonna plummet and you've basically shot yourself in the foot. It was pretty funny tho I guess.
