Hey all I just bought a phone today and need help moving music, pictures, and apps (if this is possible) to my new phone. I think the phone is an android? I don't know too much about phones lol and it apparently doesn't have itunes.

Do you have everything on a laptop from your last phone? Also do you have a windows laptop or a Mac?
There's a an app I'll go look up that will transfer contacts and photos for you but the music is the tricky part.
I have a windows laptop and I have itunes on my computer which has all my music on it. This is actually my first phone haha so I guess all I have is my ipod stuff to move.

Okay! So for everything aside from the music you go download Copy MY Data on the android and you may have to on the iphone too. Let me know if you have any problems.
For the music you can either go the Google play music option or use your androids default app. Any idea which you prefer? I use Google play and it's a little bit of a pain but I have a Mac so I don't have another option.
Anywho! Okay, google play. So what you need to do is download the app on the android, and then you need to go to google.play on your laptop and download the google play download manager extension. Once it is downloaded, you can use a gmail account if you have one, or just make a new account to access google.play. From there, once you get into google play you select your intunes library, and drag an drop onto the google.play page on your browser. Once that is all uploaded, sign onto your app using the same account. To get everything to transfer over, you need to sort all of your library into a playlist. Why, i don't know. I've just noticed that music doesn't come over unless it's in a playlist. So literally just a playlist titled songs with all your music (max 1000 songs per playlist so if you have more make songs, songs2, etc). Then it should all upload over wifi onto you phone. You'll want to play with the settings if you have limited data so that music does not upload unless you are connected to wifi, and that only music that has been downloaded and transferred over show up.
I'm going to find a really nice guide I used initially. c: Will be back.

Also, side note. Music manager is not necessary. It is supposed to just "automatically" upload new music from your itunes library to google play. I personally have problems with it so I do it all manually (drag-and-drop from itunes). If you want to try it, check here: (you need an account to see links)
I ran into a problem though. All my music is on itunes but to free up space I deleted the actual files saved in my downloads before all this (like a few months ago) is there anyway for me to make them come back or maybe make a new folder or something with the itunes music?

So you're having trouble transferring the music files over? Are you using music manager? If so just try to open up your itunes library, select your entire library, and then drag and drop onto that google play music browser page. If you go to google play music on your browser, in your library there on the left side there's a drop menu. If you scroll to the bottom of that there's a upload music option where you can drag and drop right from your itunes library. c:
Alrighty so I dragged it all and it just disappears when I do that? I don't think it uploads it and nothing new has been added to my google play library

Hm. That's rather odd. Well while it may be a pain do it again, but before you do sync your iPod with your iTunes. Maybe the files need to be replaced again, but then you can remove them after they're uploaded on Google play music.
