$2/million is not relevant anymore

Hey guys.Should we lower the rate a bit? $2/million is super expensive seeing how neopoints decrease in value so much and not many active players left in Neopets.I think we should do something about the neopoints price.

I agree, it's harder and harder to sell neopoints for 2$/mil. If you need a quick sell, it's almost impossible!

This limit is set to stop the game from becoming worthless and flooding so many items, especially from stolen accounts. That was a big problem back when no community followed a limit. I introduced this NP/$ limit and the market quickly recovered.

There are many other reasons this limit is in place as well.

Someone mentioned how hard it is to sell at this rate, well coming from a newbie of course it's hard. If you are selling pure and someone else with more trade rep and rank is offering the same, people are more inclined to go with the person that is a higher rank and with more trade reputation. Trust me, thousands of $ are still being poured into the market each week. Just check our iTrader statistics section on (you need an account to see links).

If it's so expensive, why not just earn the NP yourself? Checking over your profile, you are not much of an active poster, still under 100 posts and at clraik rank since mid-2012... but you do use our bots often throughout the year.

If you're complaining, it's because you're too cheap in my eyes. These NP take a lot of effort to earn 90% of the time while playing and devaluing someone's time to earn 1M into less than $2? Sorry but the limit will stand at this forum unless NP become super easy to obtain legitimately in-game.

Neopets =/= other game(s)? This is like comparing how much a vegetable costs and how much fish costs in the market.
