Are you in a Guild?

I'm curious if people still bother with them? I used to be a member of the original Battledome Guild run by Amanda years ago...

If you are, is it for social reasons? Or any benefits?

Nope but i see people advertising guilds still. I think most of the time its for social reasons. You join a decent group instead of dealing with everyone else all the time especially if you trade nc or like to battle lol. Having people to back you when you are trying to look legit is probably a bonus for some too.

The account I use to test/run my bots on is in a guild just to look legitimate. It's an active one and honestly, I wish I had the time to be active within it.

I was considering a guild to help with I Quest and J Quest, but after failing J Quest I can't be bothered to start again. I don't post on boards, so I have to depend on my trades getting noticed to make sales.
But I'm considering looking into a decent trading guild once I look more legit.

Same thing here with my legit account. I've been in the same guild since 2005. I'll never leave it.

My illegit account is in an active, friendly guild just to make it look more legit. I participate in superficial ways (donating NP for events, pets for adoption, chatting.)

I used to be in a small guild about 6 years ago for social reasons- I really miss it! Eventually all the members moved on from neo and when I tried to join guilds after that, it was never the same. Now that I've taken a break from neo for 4 years or so, I would like to join a new guild.. but I'm so picky I doubt I'll ever end up joining one But otherwise, I don't really have an interest in a guild with benefits.

Guilds are life on neo for me. Great place to safely chat.
Like others said, it's nice to have people back you up.

I use guilds for chatting, NC trading, inspiration to get avatars and to keep me interested in Neo.

Aye, for three years in a row now. ^.^ We're a guild that discuss Neopian lore and characters and events, besides that we also RP heavily, it's so great.

Or at least it was so great... As of lately, it's just becoming more and more depressing... Drama happens all of the time, people are leaving the place because we can't take each other, and the RP dredges on for months, besides that there's not much lore left to discuss with JS butchering the site, besides that the people there have way too many issues with themselves and each other, I sometimes find myself questioning what am I doing around it anymore... But... I just can't leave it... I've invested three years, almost the entire day in it, no breaks, no hiatuses, leaving it now is just painful...
