The Neopets Team is almost certainly aware of sites like this one. Clraik is the third or fourth result on Google for "neopets cheats" so they would be horrible at their job if they didn't.

Additionally there's little if anything the site team can do if they have your Paypal information (which shouldn't be your legal name anyway.) Bigger games have tried and failed to sue for selling in-game items to other people, third party, for real world cash. World of Warcraft is probably the most notable one as they tried to sue gold sellers for their profits, failed, and then defaulted back to just asking players not to do it. Other guys like Valve decided to capitalize and created an in-game market where you can buy for real world cash, as opposed to shady third-party deals.

The only real risk of lawsuit comes if you develop and sell hacks/scripts for the game, which was what successfully got Honorbuddy (another Warcraft example) shut down. And the only person here who could ever be concerned about that is Joe.

I think people need to be made very aware that Tony P will NOT give the account back once he has the info he asks for. From what I have seen and heard, he classically baits for information under the pretense the account will be given back, but the information you provide ultimately is your signed admission as a cheater, and your account will not be returned. Also if you're not IP banned and make a new account under the same IP/email/whatever, prepare to be monitored like a hawk.

He tried that technique with me long ago. Thing is, I never once cheated on that account so when I wrote him back, I brought up the idiocy of offering an account back if you ADMIT to cheating but if you don't have the information to provide you're shit out of luck either way. That said, Ganymede is correct. TNT would never return an account to an admitted cheater. Don't fall for the b.s.

I love seeing how the community comes together about tnt actions, what people said about people looking for cheats after a unfair ice it's exactly my case, 2 times to be exact. Only if they knew they are the one to blame for forums like this having such a great amount of people in the first place.

Let's not forget it took Blizzard 6 years in litigation before they successfully got their cease and desist order for Honorbuddy.
