Brazilian NC Cards will be nerfed next week.

I think it's fine if they raise the prices of the card in the Brazilian market to match what they perceive is the equivalent value to the NC, but to retroactively change the card value itself is fucked up and potentially illegal. If they want to release a more "value" denomination NC card for the 750NC or whatever ridiculousness they think they can sell, so be it.

Back when you could buy physical cards at like Target, there were sales all the time on those. And all my physical cards had the dollar amount and the Neocash amount printed on them. I can't imagine you could sell a card advertising a 1000 Neocash value and have it redeem only 750, that's bait and switch. Unless there truly was some glitch where certain cards in certain markets were supposed to award 1000 NC but instead were awarding double.

tinfoil hat time - they made the announcement fully intending to do so, but realized no one actually knew how to convert them. with the influx of NC purchases by people desperately scrabbling for a deal they've made more money than they have in all of 2020 and are using the "impending doom" of card conversion to keep people buying "just in case" and never actually plan to do anything about it since "any day" it "could happen"
