People names. Do not name it spot, prince, or princess or the like....too boring and too typical. They need a person's name to give it character. Though I did meet a chihuahua once named Taco. I quite liked that.

Name them historical names like "Benjamin Franklin" (Ben/Benji) & Rosa Parks (Rosie) etc...
I have one dog with a normal name & I call my other dog Fate, but he's deaf, so he can never learn what his actual name is anyway.
