i can do 1
I used to be able to do ~20 or so when I used to work out. Now I can barely do 1 lol. Such is life.
Somewhere between 10-15. I have rubber bands for arms :|
Used to be the story of my life bro.
For me the key to breaking out was to build a foundation and to build it on a habit. I started doing 30 pushups/night, and bumped up that number by 10 every week. At first it's so easy, you do a few quick sets of 10 and it might be tough but it only takes 3 minutes. In a few weeks you're doing 60, and it's a little tougher, and in a few months you're doing 150+ and it's an actual workout.
No, it's maybe not as efficient as going to the gym and lifting barbells, but it's effective at getting you into a routine with something really easy, then building painfully slowly (you want to add pushups faster when you first start because you could do more) but by the time it's hard you've made such a regular routine out of it that you don't quit. By the time you get to over 100/150 per night you'll be doing sets of 40+ and 50+ pushups.
Your arms won't be huge, but they will be bigger, and once you have even that small foundation it's so much easier to step into the gym and have a really productive workout. I'm still pretty lean but I'm a ton stronger than I used to be. It doesn't really get easy for someone with our body type but find something doable and just build on that. Finding people to do this with can really help the motivation too.
Used to be able to do 100+, now sitting right around 50—but I can finally bench body weight (and then some) so my strength has come a long way since I started working out in high school.
On my fitness test the other day only got 45 in 1 minute. Sucks go to gym everyday, perks of being lanky (6'7'')
