Soooo i accidentally hit an active ill say in the last 3 days, i think the owner will DEFINITELY want this back

My bad!!

So i changed only the pw and the email was unreg

As always happy to return to the owner wasnt aware it was active as had bday prompt and everything, so if you have lost one recently hit me with a pm

Please include

Rough name format (start letter end letter and number of letters inbetween would help)
Your bank balance (rough guess is fine)
Your pets species and colour (i wont need names)

They said they changed the PW and got it from an unreg e-mail, so they would have sent a PW reset. They likely have absolutely no clue what the old password was, so no matter what the original owner is locked out of their account since they don't have the PW or the e-mail.

Unless I misunderstood how they got into the account? Because if it wasn't via the unreg and they know the original PW, then yeah, they should just leave it the way they found it.


Regardless, thanks OP for owning up to a mistake and returning it to the original owner! (: Hopefully they see your board and get back into their account.

Might as well turn yourself in (report the account) to TNT so they can actually revert the account info back and give it to the original owner.

My plan was to make sure it was no one here before getting TNT involved as no one wants the hassle of it being frozen and returned.

If no one comes forward in a few days or so ill open a ticket

And of course the account has been left untouched except for the pw reset.

EDIT: Also if it is someone here, can also give them back access to the accounts email, as they obv lost it.

It happens, i think the right thing to do is to return it, its obviously active, and obviously someone has put a lot of work into it and i would hate that to be my main. Ill give it till monday then submit a ticket explaining the issue and ill stick the email and pw in the ticket

I’ve had a ticket in one an account that someone gained access to and took everything from since August.

This is kinda why i thought id try here first, saves someone some hassle over an error that could be fixed a lot easier by the community
