Windows 10 opinions?

listen, im not even halfway down my "things to be unnecessarily negative about" list, i can only be positive once ive finished that so youre gonna have to wait before you see me be positive. theres a lot of things for me to hate on for no reason today.

I'm still updating so I can even update to W10.



I decided I'm going to give W10 a try; my laptop is grinding to a halt because of the insane CPU vampire that is W8.1. So I'm hoping for some relief with W10, people keep telling me it's better. So we'll see what happens.

I read a couple case studies suggesting the overall usage on windows 10 is minimal compared to windows 8.

At first it was crazy fast, but today I've had some real lag issues. May of been something I downloaded though, not 100% sure.

In the user agreement for Win10, it says:

"Finally, we will access, disclose and preserve personal data, including your content (such as the content of your emails, other private communications or files in private folders), when we have a good faith belief that doing so is necessary."

So yeah until I find a way around this nope

Well I upgraded from 8.1 weeks ago and I really like it! I panicked at first because my video card wasn't working but I found the drivers and managed to get it to work~
Aside from that it works perfectly fine for me.

Frustrating to develop on. Installed on a secondary partition. Windows 7 is still my primary. Glad at work that we're sticking with Windows 7 for development for as long as we can.

What language(s)/development environment?

Though I haven't had much time, developing on Windows 10 at home isn't much of a change from 7.

I don't like that it could uninstall my illegal programs. Until I can get around that I'll still be using Win7/8.1/XP. (I hacked my XP, oops)

Yeah I am still on 7. When I get a different work PC (work from home) I can return my Steam/Media PC back to the living room. When that happens I will hook it up with 10 and see how it rolls.
