It sounds like a host issue goto C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc and open the host file with notepad
Copy and paste this into the file:
Save and reboot. Im guessin you have a entry atm that looks like this:# Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host
# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
# ::1 localhost

Next you want to make sure you do not have a virus starting with windows to do this goto start>run> type "msconfig". Press the startup tab and untick anything that does not need to start with windows. There may be a few driver files you need to keep but you can tell what these are pretty easily. Everything else should be removed as really nothing needs to load with windows , just load it as you need it.
Next hit the services tab and untick "show microsoft services" , again remove anything uneeded , sometimes viruses hide themselves here.
Now reboot and do a virus scan to get rid of the virus (although it wont load with windows now , it may still be there)...
