Welp, I just made a rookie mistake.

So I'm not "well known" on the PC, but I have been around the past couple
of weeks advertising a pet of mine to trade. Y'know, chitchatting on the UC trading boards,
    good luck-ing here and there.

Today I get an offer, same tier but vvwn and I'm stoked because
I really wanted this type of UC anyway. In my haste and excitement I accept the offer and the transfer is done.
And before I realized that I didn't even look at this kid's profile...

    Oh. Fuck.
The account looks suspicious as hell.
The cache has a double image.
The pet's name in Google brings up the old owner's
    obviously compromised account.

So here I am, ck. What the hell am I to do?
Lay low? Submit a ticket? Cry while I wait for my account to get iced?

Submit a ticket so at least you don't look guilty maybe even put up a note on the pets look up or something that says TNT is looking into it. Doing nothing will just make you look more guilty while at least documenting everything and putting in a ticket might really help save your account. If you submit a ticket now explaining everything there is a good chance your account won't be frozen.

Thank you! I submitted a ticket so hopefully it'll work out.
I'm bummed as fuck because I know it'll probably get reversed haha. But better safe than sorry.

Maybe @(you need an account to see links) or @(you need an account to see links) can help. Sorry you have to deal with this.

If it was stolen, I can't help. Just wait on the ticket, and if you hadn't already- submit it under scammed.

If it's just an illegit pet, then I can cache it. Can you PM me with the username of who traded the pet to you? Currently there's someone being stupid and buying a bunch of pets and trading them off without caching them (aka being a reckless asshole) so I wanna know if it's the same person.

Pm'd you, @(you need an account to see links).

I have absolutely no issues that the pet is illegit, and I feel really shitty for even reporting this
because I know this gorgeous pet is going to be frozen. -_- But I've been on the PC and people
have been stalking the pet I traded so I'm pretty sure if I just let it go it would
    backfire anyways.

Well TNT will reverse it but you should be fine.

The best thing you can do now is just look like a concerned trader just wanting to get your old pet back.

If you already traded I would usually just leave it be, or do what you can to force cache the UL it came from and clear the cache of your new pet, so there isn't any evidence for nosy snoopers to find.
Since you already submitted a ticket though, which I have to say I really don't recommend just cause I don't like fucking over other people's pets which they might have spent a lot of money on. Tbh it's just kinda selfish and hypocritical, especially as a cheater. I've had it done to me even when my pet was well secured and perfectly cached and it got three accounts chain iced. Everything the pet touched all bc a stupid PCer sent in a ticket just because they hadn't seen my pet before. And if you HAVE done any cheating on your account, the last thing you want is TNT looking too closely. Obviously this is a sore subject for me, I don't mean to take it out on you or anything. I just don't think a ticket is necessarily the best way especially if your pet isn't high profile. I have seen situations where tickets are really necessary for highly talked about pets like high tier UCs bc otherwise it automatically looks like a sale. But really in your situation I think a ticket was the wrong move, especially if you wanted to keep this pet, because congrats it's definitely getting iced and possibly your account too unless it's completely legit.
BUT since you have already submitted a ticket, screenie it and put it on the pet you traded for's petlookup. That will deter any stalkers. Play around with cache as well just to get rid of any blatant illegit evidence.

No, I totally understand. I already do feel pretty hypocritical, but my pet was a high end, high profile
pet that was legit. I'm still getting messages asking about trades for the pet that I already traded away
and it's been several hours since I posted on the PC.
The way I see it is, people will come to my profile to message me about the pet I posted.
They're going to see this really nice pet that came out of nowhere, check the cache,
see that it's illegit and assume I was somehow behind it.
Idk, damage is already done. We'll see.

The ticket still says it's opened, I can close this ticket myself, will it do any good closing the ticket myself?

I think once it's submitted it's kind of a done deal.
Feel free to PM me if you want and I can see what I can do as far as looking at cache and such.
