It's so irritating that you can't have an actual discussion about it on the Neoboards or on NN without people calling you salty or a complainer.

Yeah, that was... kind of inevitable. It was incredibly powerful for little work.
Still a decent-ish weapon for cheap, it might stay a part of my extremely budget set just because I'm too lazy to upgrade to anything bigger right now.

It would've been cool if it had been nerfed only after the plot, just to make battling a bit easier for people who haven't built pets up decently.
(I'm not really invested either way though, since again, it was a near-freebie and I expected this to happen.)

They gave us so much notice that a battledome event would be happening. More than enough time to get a pet to at least beat the low level challenger, yes?

yea but im an adult with a job not a teenager with hours to spend playing or caring about fucking neopets

like if i log on for 15 min a day i wanna be able to participate in the plot w minimal effort
its like a tamagotchi - i used to take care of it for months on end without it dying. they barely last me 1 hour now

the majority of the player base just want some easy shit to nostalgia about not something that requires effort damn
