my all time favorite is Let The Right One In!! swedish vampire horror romance - it's almost but not quite tied with The Lighthouse as well haha. do you have a fav horror movie?

I haven't seen either of those! I'm more into suspense/thriller/paranormal spooks. I've always loved watching low budget scary movies that became huge and admired how much they were able to pull off with so little!
Blair Witch Project and Paranormal Activity are two of the best done imo!
I would list Saw up there too but I am NOT a fan of gore so it's a nope from me hehe.

blair witch is a top 10 movie for me for sure!! i rewatched it with some friends a few weeks ago and was astonished at how well it's aged - not to mention the entire movie is essentially improv?!? i think it might have been a very formative experience for me as a kid because 'scary thing happens in the woods' is now one of my favorite themes in horror ever LOL

(speaking of bad things happening to guys in a forest, i would tentatively recommend The Ritual if you're interested in suspense/paranormal scary stuff. fair warning it does have gore in it - i definitely wouldn't compare the level of violence to a saw movie tho!)
