It makes perfect sense. The friends I have created over the last three years via cheating forums have guided me a lot more than the Neopets team has. I turned to forums in the first place because the support system was abysmal. A Neocash issue which took months to resolve, despite my being a premium member at the time, lead me to wanting to be rid of it all. While things got better somewhere along the line, I'm once again at that point where I feel that you don't take good enough care of your supporters.
I think if you took the time to get to know the cheating community a little better, you'd see that we are in fact not bad people. While these things do indeed come from legitimate players, the vast majority is from old, abandoned accounts. The majority of users are no longer children; they are people that have grown up with the site, myself included. Manipulation tactics won't work. Many then leave to pursue their goals in life, leaving the site behind. What we do, is recirculate the items and neopoints from long gone accounts. Contrary to popular belief, not all of us are in it for the wrong reasons. Many of us do not want to see the site die, and instead like to help put older and rarer items/pets back into the economy.
If you took a leaf out of our books, you could achieve a lot. Instead, you shun us, make us out to be terrible people, and allow the site to fall into an endless spiral of boredom and inactivity.
I genuinely and sincerely wish Neopets the best. It's a site that meant a lot to me in the past, but of course, you don't need a cheater being part of it.
