Synching timers is a hassle and I don't think there's a way for tnt to detect when you are refreshing if it's at a slow rate- and if there were it's very unlikely they'd freeze you for it since you could easily just be a noob at restocking in attic

Very low if you use it smartly.
I haven't been frozen yet since I started using it (I've been using it since Dec 2011/Jan 2012, whenever I have VIP).
Just use defualt settings and don't leave it on 24/7 and you should be good.
