    Iced under weird circumstances?

Was manually cataloguing some old inactives I hadn't logged onto in years, using Tor. Pretty sure I did everything right/safely, yet one of the accounts was iced today. I did nothing on the account past logging in & checking SDB etc. Is it possible for accounts to be flagged for weird loggins, and it just got auto-iced after logging in from a random Tor IP? Otherwise, what happened? Not an account I care to try and recover, just don't want it to happen again.

Pretty sure it's auto iced, via Tor.
One of my legit accounts (created / logged in only via Tor) was iced not too long ago for "suspicious activity"

Using a VPN that is available to the public, even if you pay == big no-no now

How would one acquire a VPN that isn't available to the public? =\

I have a service I pay for, but it's obviously a public company. I don't think it's widely used, like HMA, but it's not that uncommon.

I used Hot Spot Shield Elite version and was just getting hammered. Lately I have just been logging in my regular IP just only a couple accounts a week and sending stuff and no problem. but yeh for weeks even sometimes just logging in using HSS elite I was getting lit up.

How do they get all the IP addresses from the VPN companies to red flag?

It's best to research and find private VPN/proxy companies that use fast servers. They would definitely be worth paying for if you want privacy.

I'd google search "best VPN proxy reddit" or something to see what people recommend.

That's not really what they do.

It's not hard to flag multiple account IPs (we do it here) and checking the IP to see if it belongs to some VPN hosting service of some sort.

All 3 of my sides were JUST chain iced in the past hour. All with separate proxys through a paid private proxy site, but also all have been accessed via Operas VPNs initially for set-up purposes. Main is still standing. Only ever transferred items through shops so I guess that covered my tracks well enough. Very weird, and still somewhat expecting my main to go down any second now.

Things are getting a bit too risky for me right now! They seem to be cracking down on/targeting account hijacking. Think I'll stick to playing semi-legit and keep my nose clean for while.

Edit: whole buncha people just got chain iced D: like in the past 2hours.

Edit Edit: the back up account I just purchased from a very reputable seller who I have bought from in the past (though not exclusively, and not all of my sides were from this same person, so that's certainly not the issue) was iced when I received it, I always search the names before attempting to log-in so I can see it was iced before I even had a chance to touch it. Very strange. This must be a wide-spread icing spree.......

THIRD EDIT (lol sorry I'm doing some digging): this more widespread than I initially thought, I just dug up a list of all my spare shell accounts I haven't accessed in ages and every single one of them is iced. I can't tell you when it happened as I've has no cause to check these for months now, but it is very strange as some of these accounts I have had sitting around for years, and they have all been iced at some point in the last 6months.
