It should be as easy as reinstalling windows (if you don't care for the data it has now)
Or you can go on the free route and install Linux on it
Im getting a computer from a coworker for free. He says it has the blue screen of death and he doesnt feel like paying to fix it, nor care because he stopped since he got a tablet.
Is it possible to just be able to factory reset a computer with the blue screen of death or do I have to take extra bs steps to fix whatever issues its having prior to resetting?
He isnt the type of guy to do a bunch of downloads, but Im 100 percent sure its loaded with malware from porn. Can you get bsod from stupid simple things or is this gonna be a serious task? Hes not technology guy.. Ive taught him how to put contacts in his flip phone in 2018

I'm not sure what blue screen 100% is but I know that windows 10 doesnt require a disk, I've had to restore pcs before. As long as it wasn't a bootleg windows 10 I think you should be able reset it fine.
